About Us

We are Shawn, Holly, Rose, and Eli.  We lived at Earthaven Ecovillage for 10 years, having moved there in Spring of 1998 when Rose was nearly 5 and Eli was in utero.  Eli was the first baby born onland at Earthaven. We lived in the many different housing options at Earthaven, including a tent (where Eli learned to crawl and to walk).  In 2000, we built the tribal condo with several friends and were happy to be in a heated space, albeit a small one for a family.  We built the house you see on these pages in 2003.  Hot, running water was such a luxury, as were bedrooms with doors that closed!  We love love love our house at Earthaven, but we work in town and were spending too much time away from our home community, and engaging more in our work and school communities.  We moved in June of 2008 in order to spend more time together as a family, and to drive less.
